It cannot be denied that Thailand’s playmaker and captain, Nootsara Tomkom, and the captain of South Korea women’s volleyball team, Kim Yeon-koung (KYK), were once the closest of friends. The had been the best of friends for several years. They had been teammates for a couple of seasons in the Turkish Club Fenerbahce.
But these past few months, their friendship became cold to the extent of unfollowing each other on Instagram. The fans also noticed that there seemed to be something wrong between the two right after the FIVB Olympic Intercontinental Qualification Tournament held in China where both Thailand & S. Korea failed to get an Olympic ticket. Then during the Asian Championship in Korea, the two barely talked to each other.

A lot of speculations had since then been circling around the social media as to why the two turned sour at each other.
